Yunmo Yang

He studied at Yonsei University in Seoul, at the Istituto Musical Alfredo Casella in Italy and at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Munich. From 2008 to 2013, he was an ensemble member at Theater Lübeck. Since the 2013/2014 season, he has performed as an ensemble mem-ber at Staatstheater Nürnberg under his stage name of Antonio Yang, and most recently sang the parts of Alberich in “Das Rheingold” and Götterdämmerung,” Wotan in “Die Walküre” and “Siegfried,” Marcello in “La Bohème” and the title role in “Rigoletto,” among others. He won 1st prize and the audience prize in the ARD's 2006 international music competition in Munich, and 3rd prize in the 2005 Renata Tebaldi international singing competition in Italy. In 2007, he was awarded 1st prize in SWR's Emmerich-Smola-Förderpreis competition.
