Maria Kataeva

She studied at the St. Petersburg State Conservatory, and from 2011 to 2013 she was a member of the opera studio at the Deutsche Oper am Rhein. During the 2013/2014 season, she became a part of the permanent ensemble and most recently sang the title role in “Carmen,” the Composer in “Ariadne auf Naxos,” Cherubino in “Le nozze di Figaro” and Maddalena in “Rigoletto.” In 2014, she won 3rd prize in the Paris Opera Competition.
