Eva Wagner-Pasquier

Eva Wagner-Pasquier has been Co-Director of the Bayreuth Festival since 2008, when her father, Wolfgang Wagner, stepped down. From 1967 to 1976, she worked for the Bayreuth Festival, as well as at the Vienna Staatsoper and she was the Casting Director of Leo Kirch's Unitel Film. She was the Opera Director at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, from 1984 to 1987, when Daniel Barenboim asked her to join the Opéra Bastille as Directrice de la Programmation. She has been the Artistic Consultant to the Houston Grand Opera, to the Théâtre du Châtelet, to the Teatro Real de Madrid and to the Metropolitan Opera, and Artistic Advisor to the Festival d'Aix-en-Provence and the attached Académie Européenne. Eva Wagner-Pasquier will continue at the Bayreuth Festival after August 2015 as the Consultant.
